  • Indigo Square

    Indigo Square is a £16 million cladding replacement project that we successfully delivered from RIBA Stage 0–5, covering the full journey from early feasibility through planning, detailed design and building regulations approval. The scheme involved a complete façade and cladding refurbishment, upgrading the building envelope to meet current fire, thermal and regulatory standards while maintaining a clean, contemporary appearance. Thanks to close coordination between the design team, client, contractor and specialists, the project progressed smoothly at every stage, with approvals, technical compliance and on-site delivery all aligning exactly as planned.

    Seymore Mews

    Blackbrick Studio is leading the cladding refurbishment of Seymore Mews, an £8 million façade refit project, delivering the scheme through full RIBA Stages 3 and 4. Our scope includes the development of a fully coordinated, compliant design to replace existing cladding with high-performance, regulation-compliant systems, addressing fire safety, thermal performance and long-term durability. We are working closely with cladding specialists, fire consultants and structural engineers to de-risk the design, resolve complex junctions and ensure robust detailing from planning refinement through to Building Regulations approval. This project demonstrates our expertise in high-value recladding schemes, combining technical rigour, façade design quality and a clear focus on occupant safety and compliance.

  • The Railway Inn

    The Railway Inn Pub redevelopment was taken from RIBA Stage 0–5, transforming a former public house into a collection of high-end residential apartments with a strong focus on quality and liveability. The design introduces generous, well-planned living spaces with premium finishes and contemporary detailing, while integrating sustainable features such as green roofs, living wall systems and thoughtfully landscaped garden areas. Together, these elements create a distinctive, design-led scheme that blends modern comfort with environmental responsibility and a strong sense of place.

    318-324 Katherine Road

    Blackbrick Studio is currently delivering a full Building Regulations package for 318 Katherine Road, London, a £9 million development. Our role covers detailed technical design, coordination with the wider consultant team and production of fully compliant construction information to support a smooth route from approval to site. Drawing on our experience in complex, high-value schemes, we are interrogating structure, fire safety, acoustic performance, energy efficiency and compliance with the latest standards to ensure the building is robust, buildable and future-ready. This commission showcases our capability to take London projects through the technical stages with rigour, clarity and a strong emphasis on quality and compliance.

    Union Park

    Union Park is a £13 million large-scale development where Blackbrick Studio is appointed to provide full technical architectural support from the key design stages through to delivery. Our role focuses on translating the planning vision into fully coordinated, buildable information that meets the demands of Building Regulations, safety legislation and modern methods of construction. Working closely with the client, contractor and wider consultant team, we are managing complex interface conditions, refining layouts and detailing, and ensuring the scheme achieves high performance in fire safety, energy efficiency, durability and overall user experience.   • We start by establishing the projects purpose and constraints: operational needs, site context, programme, budget, risk profile and procurement strategy. We help clients confirm the right brief and delivery route early, ensuring the project is viable before design resource is committed.

  • We develop a clear, evidence-led brief with key spatial requirements, performance targets, planning considerations, sustainability goals and stakeholder inputs. This stage typically includes baseline site analysis and early consultant coordination, so the design direction is grounded in deliverable realities.

  • We explore concept options that align brand, functionality, and commercial outcomes that include circulation, massing, daylight, servicing strategy, user experience and operational efficiency. We prioritise a strong architectural idea, supported by pragmatic technical decisions that reduce risk later in the programme.

  • As the design develops, we coordinate the building in detail with the wider consultant team including structure, building services, fire strategy, access, acoustics and planning requirements so the proposal is robust, coordinated, and ready for approvals. We focus on resolving interfaces early to protect programme and cost certainty.

  • We produce coordinated technical information suitable for Building Regulations approval, tender, and construction. This includes detailed drawings, specifications, schedules and key construction details, with careful attention to compliance, buildability and quality control. Where relevant, we integrate Building Safety Regulator (BSR) expectations and gateway-aligned information management to ensure the design is evidenced and auditable.

  • During construction, we support delivery through design team coordination, site queries, inspections, and technical clarifications to help maintain design intent, manage change, and resolve details quickly. Our focus is on protecting quality, ensuring compliance is maintained, and keeping the project moving efficiently on site.
